Vivy Flourite Eye’s Song – Thrilling and emotional

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. This was an absolute epic watch. I highly recommend it, before even writing a review, I just highly recommend it. Mild SPOILERS AHEAD.

The story of Vivy is set in a futuristic world where AIs are highly developed and serve a single mission to which they dedicate their lives to. All of a sudden and all at once, a war breaks out between humans and AIs in which the AIs massacre humans. A scientist creates a program and sends it back in time, to the sole AI which is still functional after 100 years, to Diva, a songstress AI who was the first autonomous AI and was given the mission to make people happy with her singing. The program, calling himself Matsumoto, comes into contact with Diva and tells her of the plan to help the humans, the project to save humans from being killed by AI, is called the Singlularity Project and is supposed to see, Diva and Matsumoto, change specific events in history that caused AI to advances too far. Though initially reluctant, Diva takes on the project and works with Matsumoto, going on a journey spanning a 100 years that changes Diva and allows her to get the answer to the question, ‘What does it mean to pour your heart into something.’

The story is split into different arcs and because of it, we get to see a wide variety of characters and even a few recurring ones. Out MC is Diva, the songstress AI who wants to know what a heart is. Throughout the show, she goes through a lot of development which are brought about by both, positive and negative incidents. This development is what plays a significant part in the show. While at first she is more robot-like, Diva eventually learns what emotions are and learns what a heart is. Matsumoto, the support AI who has come from the future, is a quirky personality who is fun to have on screen he is almost always at odds with and butting heads with Diva. There are numerous other characters who I wish to talk about but talking any further about any of the characters or their developments will mean spoiling the story and I do not want to do that since I want everyone to experience the story in the best way possible.

The anime has beautiful animation that will make you fall in love and I am not exaggerating, each and every scene is extremely beautiful and a delight to watch. While that deserves its praise, the main attraction of Vivy is the constant twists in its story. Just as one arc finishes and you fall into a sense of security that it’ll be alright, a new threat approaches and the thrill begins anew, the story twists are also mind-blowing and completely unpredictable unless you’re paying very close attention and think real hard about it. The thrilling action is also one of the good things about Vivy, each and every action scene, every fight, has the right music (since songs play a big part in this show), the right choreography and is simply elegantly made if I am to describe it briefly. The OP and ED are amazing, I especially loved the OP and the other songs in the show are amazing as well since this show makes use of songs a lot. While there are numerous good things to talk about with Vivy, there is one bad thing and that is with the time gap between the arcs, sometimes it feels like there’s something missing and I get that since episodes only have 23 minutes, its hard to fit everything in there but it gets a little confusing at times.

The anime teaches a very deep lesson, ‘Experiences shape you to become who you are.’ We see our MC go through that, as she is very different in the ending than she is at the start but she still holds onto her mission, to make everyone happy with her singing. This shows that we too as humans, need to experience new things, keep an open mind and learn new things while staying true to our mission, to the thing that we have originally set out to do, no matter what it may be. That is one of the various things that Vivy teaches us, aside from things like ‘What is a heart.’ among other things.

The final episode is deeply emotional, it will make you cry like it made me cry. It was amazing, the music, the emotions, the scenes, the animation, it felt like a masterpiece coming together. The thrill and the emotions certainly make Vivy an anime that will give you goosebumps at the fight scenes, leave you in awe of the beauty of the anime and make you cry at the deeply emotional moments. I recommend Vivy to everyone, as a breath of fresh air from the futuristic dystopia trope, as something truly unique that I believe will inspire many other anime.

Rap section:

Futuristic world with an autonomous AI,
Got a mission to fulfill to sing on a stage up high,
She’s got one question and in it’s reply,
Is a 100 year journey to create the song Flourite eyes.

An AI sent from the future to prevent a tragedy,
AI Versus Humans the war is a reality,
Besides Diva no one else has the capacity,
To end this war and to end this insanity.

Matsumoto is a partner helping her out,
The grim future and how to prevent it he tells her about,
The journey they must make and their route,
The Singularity Project must be carried out throughout.

This journey is tough it’s gonna take long,
Can’t interfere in things have to stay strong,
To fight and to correct the history that is wrong,
To make what will be know as the Flourite Eye’s Song.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.
