Why you should read the Horimiya manga.

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I absolutely fell in love with HoriMiya when I watched it, I liked the characters, their relationships and how they handled their problems and I wanted more of that so I decided to read the manga, and it was a good decision. This is going to be be FILLED WITH SPOILERS but who cares ? This is a slice of life manga.

The story is the same. Literally the anime makers changed nothing from the story. I also need to congratulate them on a job well done. They managed to cut out so much stuff from the manga out of the nearly 150 chapters and still managed to make a coherent story that was extremely enjoyable and lovable.

The first reason is obvious because it’s more HoriMiya content. Like their relationship is just the cutest and the best and I loved watching more of them, seeing them navigate their love life and also helping their friends with their own problems.

The second point is that there’s lots of enjoyable content that has been cut. There’s an entire sports festival that was cut out and it was a nice little arc that was funny and helped us look a little deeper into the characters’ personalities. There’s scenes like the guys once talking about whether Blazers are better or Sailor uniforms are and there’s even a scene of Miyamura wearing Hori’s old school uniform and the funniest of all, Sawada jumping into Miyamura’s balcony to get into his house and then going back the same way. All of the cut content really develops the relationships of the characters both platonic and romantic.

The manga has a lot lot of focus on the other characters. Since the anime only had 12 episodes there was only so much they could fit in there and so obviously character development for characters like Sengoku and Sawada were cut out. This character development really makes you enjoy the manga lots and lots more. The relationship between Sawada and Miyamura is more developed. She has her own little arc and it’s fun to watch her learn from Miyamura and the others and make her school life better. There’s the fact that Sengoku’s father, Kyosuke and his wife all went to the same school and there’s lots of fun stuff to see with Sengoku’s father in the picture.

Despite all the cut content, the main message and ending of the manga remains the same. The fact that Hori is a person who pushes Miyamura and helps him be comfortable to be himself. The series is all about pushing yourself and being yourself and that message has been well shown in the anime but is much more clearer in the manga.

At the end, all I want to say is that the manga has lots more content for us to enjoy and if you want more of Horimiya then you should definetly check it out.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about and some manga recommendations. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.
